Transformation

Market Tower reimagines a downtown San Francisco high-rise through a bold facade transformation. Rather than demolish and rebuild, the project retains the existing concrete frame — preserving embodied energy — while introducing a new curtain wall with parametric shading, vertical gardens, and solar elements that dramatically improve daylight, thermal comfort, and urban presence.

Facade system — solar integration and planted terraces
Performance

A new high-performance facade system introduces operable panels, solar shading, and a rhythm of solid-to-void that creates a distinctive urban silhouette. Planted terraces and vertical green elements contribute to the building’s regenerative strategy — natural ventilation, reduced heat island effect, and improved air quality for occupants.
